Our Services

Physiotherapy

Our university-trained and experienced Physiotherapists and helpful Assistants work as a team to help you overcome pain and injuries that impact your normal level of activity and keep you from enjoying active living. Our goal is to get you back to doing what you enjoy as quickly as possible.

We customize your program of care and include therapeutic exercise and education to ensure that we solve the issue and prevent it from recurring.

Everything starts with a thorough assessment followed by one-on-one treatment that is re-adjusted after each visit as you progress.

Orthopaedics

At Family Physiotherapy Clinic we are experienced and skilled in assessing and treating injuries, conditions, and disorders of the skeletal system and the muscles, joints, and ligaments that comprise it.

Our goal is to reduce pain as quickly as possible while facilitating the healing process. We know you want to return to your normal level of activity as quickly as possible.

Our Physiotherapists continually take courses and study evidence-based assessments and treatments for orthopaedic issues like neck pain, back pain, arthritis, and fractures.

Neurological Therapy

Our Physiotherapists work to better the lives of people who suffer from a wide range of diseases and conditions impacting neurological function.

Our goals are to alleviate pain and improve balance and co-ordination, and restore range of movement, mobility, and independance.

Physiotherapy is effective in treating patients after a stroke, and those impacted by ALS, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Spinal Cord Injuries.

Exercise Therapy

"Movement is Medicine"!

Almost everyone can benefit from exercise therapy. Specific exercises tailored to your goals may include stretching, strengthening, myofascial release, nerve mobility, posture and balance exercises. Ultimately, the goal for all of our patients at Family Physiotherapy Clinic is to reduce pain, regain full mobility and range of motion and function to improve your overall quality of life. We have a fully equipped gym. We will create a home exercise program for you, complete with pictures and videos.

Manual Therapy

With Manual physical therapy, Physiotherapists use their hands to treat soft tissue and mobilize and manipulate joints to decrease pain and increase movement. At Family Physiotherapy Clinic, we believe that Manual Therapy is an important aspect of the overall treatment of any acute injury or longstanding dysfunction.

Pediatric Therapy

Pediatric physiotherapists are professionals who have a broad range of skills in order to work with a developing child. At Family Physiotherapy Clinic, we have many years of pediatric experience, and will create a plan for your child which includes your involvement. We work with children with such needs as: muscle and joint dysfunction, neurodevelopmental delay, gross and fine motor skills, sensory issues, balance and co-ordination, play based learning skills, functional activities of daily living, adapted or specialized equipment. Therapy is designed with social, cognitive, communication, motivation and emotional needs in mind.
